Hello again! The reason I did not post last week was because I was walking in Memphis! On my last blog I had a lot of really nice comments, and I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to do that. Okay today I would like to talk about the art materials. There are very many, but today we will talk about paint and oil pastels.
Okay, we all know what paint is, right? Well, paint is one of the most used materials in art. If you use paint for painting you are called a painter. If you ever went to art class or art class at your school, the odds are you have painted. So, you are a painter, even if you don’t do it much, your still considered one.
Many people only like paint, but there are so many more materials, like oil pastels. Oil pastels are very pretty if you put you mind to it. They also give the picture a texture. But if you use them, be warned, they will leave bits of color on your hand. They are kinda like crayons, but different.
Well, I got a question in the comments. No, I did not draw that picture, but doesn’t it rock?  Ane Mulligan, I hope one day I can meet your husband. Thank you all for reading my blog. It means a lot to me.

Welcome to my blog, The Groovy Arts!!

Greetings!!! I’m Bella. Welcome to my blog, The Groovy Arts!! I decided to do my blog on art because I love art! I mean art is another creative way to see the earth and the people and things on it! Today, I will talk about some of the many different types of art.
There is 3D. The D stands for Dimensional. So, that means for it to be 3 Dimensional, it has to be a solid object, like a book or laptop. An example of 3D is a statue.
Now, there are Still Life. That’s a painting or drawing of a thing or multiple things showing no action, like a vase of plants or a toy doll just lying on the floor.
Then, there are Abstract. You create something abstract when you create a focal point. You have a focal point when your eyes go straight to that one thing. That one thing is a focal point! You can easily create a picture that is abstract by drawing lines all over a piece of paper, then only coloring one spot that stands out to you!
There are so many more types of art, I don’t know them all! But, I’m sure there is a style in art that is just right for you!
